Tarim Grand Mosque (Jami’ Tarim) is one of the oldest and most renowned masjids in Tarim. It serves as a central hub for the community, conducting daily and Friday prayers, daily religious lessons, as well as many educational and community events throughout the year.

Project Objectives

1. To provide sustainable, clean, and reliable electricity for the masjid’s daily operations.

2. To support the masjid’s religious, educational, and community activities by ensuring an uninterrupted power supply.

3. To reduce dependence on the unstable national electricity grid and minimise reliance on costly fuel-powered generators.

4. To lower the masjid’s operational expenses by cutting down on fuel consumption and maintenance costs.
   
   

Project Scope

1. The project involves the installation of complete solar power systems for each mosque, including solar panels, inverters, wiring, and battery storage units.
   
   
2. It also includes hands-on training for mosque representatives on proper system operation and maintenance.
   
   
3. All inspection, installation, and commissioning will be carried out by qualified and specialised solar technicians to ensure safety, quality, and long-term performance.
   
   

Total cost for this project : S$24,700

The project cost includes necessary administration, marketing, operational, and overhead expenses to ensure the project is implemented efficiently and sustainably.
